Serving Missouri with quality insurance for over 100 years.
Patrons & Farmers was chartered in 1877, the same year that Ulysses S. Grant turned over the presidency to fellow Civil War General Rutherford B. Hayes. The company was formed by area farmers in Harrisonville, Missouri, to protect policyholder members from wind and fire devastation. It was incorporated on January 30, 1896, as Patrons and Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Cass County. On August 21, 2006, the company merged with Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Lee's Summit. The surviving company was renamed Patrons and Farmers Mutual of Missouri.
While Patrons & Farmers Mutual of Missouri still actively provides protection for farmers, we have grown over the years to protect other types of property owners, including homeowners, renters, mobile homeowners, and landlords throughout the state of Missouri. We continue our 140-year-old tradition of neighbors helping neighbors by selecting independent agents with strong ties to their local communities and a commitment to integrity.
